Core Rules of Netiquette

Go ahead! Jump in and let us know the joys and frustrations you've experienced having a child who's gifted. Who knows? Maybe someone has some ideas for soothing the rough spots!

If you're new to the Social Networking scene, you should take some time to review some of these rules now, before something happens and you're referring to the old idea of "hindsight is 20/20."

As always, if you find someone behaving in a way inappropriate to the collegiality of the network, please let me know asap!

I realize the NAGC Mile Marker info is more appropriate for the VENDOR group. But I do not work for NAGC and I wanted to respond to the inquiry.

While the website does not mention sharing, the article about it in the March, 2009, issue of NAGC's magazine, Parenting for High Potential, states:
"NAGC understands the power and influence of a well-educated parent. That's why purchasers of the CD are encouraged to print and share pertinent articles. Selections can be used for newsletters, distributed for group discussions, or passed on to friends and teachers. The only caveat we ask is to notify NAGC when you reprint pieces by filling out the simple online permission form at ...."

How can we, in Romania, have access to those precious informations? Can we buy it online somewhere?

Kathy, Can we buy the CD and post it (or at least portions of it) on our state affiliate websites? I can imagine that it would be VERY beneficial to so many!

Tonight at the NAGC convention in Tampa there was a great event where we unveiled the Mile Marker Series--a CD ROM that contains a TREMENDOUS wealth of information for parents and educators that is organized in a very easy to use format. The material includes pdf articles and information that can be used for advocacy and learning about all aspects of giftedness whether you are new to the field or a veteran. The CD is available from NAGC at an introductory price of $24.95 and may just be one of the best purchases you ever make!
