Comment by Nancy on May 31, 2009 at 10:39am - With the adoption of Multi-Tiered System of Support (aka response to intervention), our district is wanting to go to inclusionary services only - which also meant in their minds that they could cut 50% of the gifted facilitators. I provided the board members with quite a bit of the research on the S&E needs of gifted students, but the bottom line seemed to be all they cared about. Is anyone else fighting this battle? Is anyone else having success in fighting this battle?
