I like to put something on the board so that as the students come in they have something to warm up their brains. This week it was comparing a whale and a goldfish. Many students use a T chart to help them.

Have you ever tried Thinking Maps? Google it! They are great for higher order thinking.

Looking for help

Hi Everyone!
I am looking for some expert help with finding some new ideas for using compare and contrast activities in the classroom. Venn Diagrams are great, but what else if there? I am researching Marzano's "similarities and differences" strategy and can't find any great support articles. Any suggestions out there?
Thanks
Mel
