I am an orchestra conductor of a Youth String Orchestra, a Strings Teacher at a Public elementary Magnet School of the Arts, so I work daily with students that are unidentified, yet I know that they are operating on the gifted level. I have 2 children - age 19 and 9 who have been identified as "Gifted" in public schools. One is the beautifully wrapped package with shiny paper and the neat bow. The other is the package wrapped in newspaper and held together with twine and duct tape. Both are ridiculus.
