Mother Goose, but this one gave me pause...

My two-year-old daughter drug over

Here is a recent

Three years on, the school has expanded this year to include kids from grades 7 & 8 as well. My son has enrolled in it as a part-time student while continuing as a full-ti…

I developed a 6 hour GT professional development called "Great Books for Gifted Kids." The latest version (I never can leave it alone) pairs great books with the social emotional needs of gifted kids and also incorporates some web 2.0 tools. As part of the professional development, participants contributed to a
wiki.
I'd like the
wiki to become a truly valuable resource for teachers of gifted stude…

Hi Everyone!
I am looking for some expert help with finding some new ideas for using compare and contrast activities in the classroom. Venn Diagrams are great, but what else if there? I am researching Marzano's "similarities and differences" strategy and can't find any great support articles. Any suggestions out there?
Thanks

I love taking classes. I love visiting social networking sites. I learn so much and am excited to pass it on to others. I am currently working on a project that will be handed out to the teachers in my school that have the gifted cluster. I am putting together a easy flip book that tells the nitty gritty about gifted. Will include misconceptions, clustering benefits, gifted vs. bright students, what do do in your classroom, parent tips. Any other thoughts Again, I want to keep it small and user…

Great New Online Resource for Local Volunteer Coordinating
VolunteerSpot (http://www.volunteerspot.com ) is a free online sign-up tool that simplifies grassroots volunteering. The site makes it easy for anyone to quickly mobilize and coordinate volunteers in their community, congregation or social network. Larry Bock is a scientist, an entrepreneur and a dad. He’s also one of the lead organizers behind the San Diego Science Festival.
He hopes the five-week event, culminating April 4 with a day-long Expo with more than 300 hands-on activities, will spark an interest in science among the region’s children. (A link to the festival Web site is at the end of this post.)
Mr. Bock and I had a chance to talk recently about what parents can do to spark an interest in science in their children. Here’s what…
