I'm calling my page "...and you think YOU can work with the gifted?" because that's what my husband and grown daughters say anytime I do something rather dumb, or when I can't figure out a simple mathematics calculation. Do You Believe in Dwarfs?

I apologize to any Little People who object to the term "dwarf." I would never say "dwarf" in a conversation in the year 2008, and I respect that any group can decide what to call themselves. Digital Footprint?

OK, I need some education about what exactly is a digital footprint, and what I want it to be like, and why. I have a vague inkling what this term is about, but I would like some language to share with my students when I discuss with them. I'm working on my Shelfari plans, and my kids have had a look at it. It's amazing how a visual format makes a huge difference in the attention and excitement lavished on what is merely a booklist. Continue

Stuff I wanted to tell Ginger after the NAGC Convention

I learned a ton at the convention in Tampa. Then I came back to my classroom with the broken (this is week 3) computer! And when it is ever fixed, it is old and slow! I spent today showing 5 of my student groups the new Shelfari I put on my website for their parents. I was using a borrowed laptop, incidentally.
