Gifted Education 2.0

Real life collaboration regarding all issues in Gifted Education

OK, I need some education about what exactly is a digital footprint, and what I want it to be like, and why. I have a vague inkling what this term is about, but I would like some language to share with my students when I discuss with them.

I'm working on my Shelfari plans, and my kids have had a look at it. It's amazing how a visual format makes a huge difference in the attention and excitement lavished on what is merely a booklist.

I'm so glad you asked this. Will Richardson does a great job of explaining what he means by the Digital Footprint here in the latest issue of ASCD's Educational Leadership.

I encourage EVERYONE to not only read the article, but to consider 1) your own digital footprint, 2) that of your children, and 3) that of your students/colleagues. It's time we take this medium seriously as one that leaves a professional (or whatever) image we WANT it to leave. We *can* craft our footprints and it's time to be doing it!
